Keep DeweyIQ safe for everyone by avoiding the behaviors below.
Prohibited uses
- Anything illegal, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Attempts to breach, scrape, or reverse-engineer DeweyIQ or its subprocessors.
- Uploading malware, phishing content, or unsolicited marketing.
- Sharing credentials across organizations or reselling access.
Content rules
Photos, messages, and uploads must be lawful and non-infringing. Copyright disputes are handled under the DMCA policy.
Pool-count limits
- Solo Route: up to 75 pools.
- Growing Route: up to 150 pools.
- Pro: up to 300 pools.
- Full Operations: up to 500 pools — hard cap. Orgs that cross 500 pools receive a 30-day window to migrate to Enterprise before new pool creation is blocked.
- Enterprise (self-serve): published plan starting at $999/mo for 501 pools; add $4/mo per pool above 500. No contract required — adjust pool count anytime from Settings → Subscription.
“Pools” counts active bodies of water (pools, spas, fountains) with their own chemistry and schedule. Archived pools do not count toward the cap.
SMS fair-use
SMS is a paid channel metered in carrier segments (160 characters in standard GSM-7 encoding, 70 characters when the message contains Unicode such as emoji or smart quotes; multi-segment messages use 153/67 characters per part). Each plan includes a generous monthly allowance designed not to run out:
- Solo Route: 1,875 segments/mo
- Growing Route: 3,750 segments/mo
- Pro: 7,500 segments/mo
- Full Operations: 12,500 segments/mo
- Enterprise: scales with pool count — 25 segments per pool per month (e.g. 501 pools → 12,525 segments/mo).
Usage beyond your included allowance is billed at $0.04 per segment at the close of each billing period, via automatic metered overage on your Stripe invoice. To prevent surprise bills, every account has a per-period overage cap (default $200) — once your accrued overage hits the cap, outbound SMS pauses and we email you. You can raise or lower the cap anytime in Settings → Subscription.
SMS may only be used for service-operations-related messages to customers who have agreed to receive them — you are solely responsible for TCPA compliance, opt-in capture, and honoring STOP/HELP keywords (DeweyIQ honors STOP and HELP automatically). We reserve the right to throttle or terminate access for patterns of abuse (spam, unsolicited marketing, or usage materially above your tier's allowance sustained over multiple periods).
AI fair-use
AI-powered features (photo diagnosis, voice-to-data, smart reports, chemistry prediction, churn scan) are included at no extra cost but share a monthly cap per plan:
- Solo Route: 1,000 AI calls/mo
- Growing Route: 2,500 AI calls/mo
- Pro: 3,500 AI calls/mo
- Full Operations: 6,500 AI calls/mo
- Enterprise: scales with pool count — 13 AI calls per pool per month (e.g. 501 pools → 6,513 calls/mo).
Over-cap calls are rejected until the cap resets — there is no AI overage billing. We apply additional per-feature limits to prevent abuse: photos are auto-resized to 1,024 px, voice recordings capped at 120 seconds, churn scans rate-limited to one run per 7 days, and photo diagnosis limited to 2 per pool per day.
API and rate limits
We publish fair-use rate limits to protect all customers. Abusive or automated traffic may be rate-limited or blocked.
Enforcement
Violations may result in warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, or termination depending on severity. We'll reach out first whenever reasonable.
