Walking through onboarding (8 minutes)
Eight short steps. Half are optional. Land in the dashboard before lunch.
Step 1 — Company
Name (pre-filled), base address (used for routing), timezone, notification email, logo upload, and brand color. Upload your logo and we auto-detect your brand color from it — tweak with the picker if needed.
Step 2 — Pricing defaults
Parts markup %, default tax rate, invoice & quote prefixes, default labor hourly rate. Defaults are sensible (30% markup, 8.75% tax, INV/Q prefixes); edit anytime later.
Step 3 — Chemistry targets
Pick a sanitizer (chlorine, salt, bromine). Each one comes with industry-standard target ranges pre-filled — you can tighten them per-pool later.
Step 4 — Service checklist
Choose a starter checklist: Residential Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Commercial/Hotel. We seed 9–10 standard tasks. Customers see which were checked on every service report.
Step 5 — Team (optional)
Invite up to 4 staff at a time — pick role tech or office for each. Unlimited seats. Skip if you're solo.
Step 6 — Stripe Connect (optional)
Connect your Stripe account so customers can pay you (cards + ACH + AutoPay). Takes ~4 minutes through Stripe's hosted onboarding. Skip and wire up later from Settings → Integrations.
Step 7 — QuickBooks (optional)
Connect your QBO account for two-way customer/invoice/payment sync. Takes ~2 minutes through Intuit's OAuth.
Step 8 — First customer
Three options: enter one customer manually, paste a CSV (Name, Email, Phone, Address — header optional), or skip. Most owners paste their existing list and import in one shot.
Done — open the dashboard
You'll see a summary of what got set up. Hit 'Open the dashboard' and you're live. Onboarding only fires once — future logins go straight to the dashboard.
